Pediatric Pathologist – Driscoll Children’s Hospital
Driscoll Children’s Hospital is seeking to expand its faculty with an AP/CP board-certified or board-eligible Pathologist to join our well-established pathology practice. A Pediatric Pathologist is preferred, but applicants motivated to practice in a pediatric focused environment will be considered. We have opportunities available in both Corpus Christi and the Rio Grande Valley and leadership opportunities are available.
The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine is a state-of-the-art, fully computerized, full-service laboratory operating 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. This is a clinical (non-academic) position offering a broad and dynamic scope of practice. The Department of Pathology is pediatric patient focused where the patient’s best interests are paramount.
Position Highlights
Alongside two tenured pathologists, assist in providing services to the anatomic pathology needs of the hospital, including:
- Surgical pathology
- Frozen section interpretation
- Cytopathology
- Clinical laboratory oversight and duties
- Autopsy (minimal)
High-volume practice:
- Clinical Pathology: 550,000+ specimens annually
- Anatomic Pathology: 3,500+ cases annually
- Support both inpatient and outpatient settings
- Collaborative environment within a private multi-specialty group
Practice Environment
