Are you an experienced occupational therapist with advanced therapeutic expertise and a passion for leading meaningful clinical change? Join Townsville HHS as our Clinical Leader – Therapeutic Interventions, where you will shape servicewide therapeutic practice and deliver highimpact interventions for adults accessing community mental health care.
About the Role
In this senior position, you will provide advanced therapeutic interventions supporting functional recovery and participation, lead capability development across multidisciplinary teams, and guide the integration of evidence informed therapeutic approaches across the Adult Community Care Team. You will work with a high level of autonomy, offering expert clinical advice, supporting complex case work and contributing to research, training and service innovation.
What You’ll Do
- Deliver advanced, culturally responsive, evidence informed interventions that support functional recovery, participation and wellbeing for adults with complex mental health needs
- Lead the integration of therapeutic models across community mental health services
- Provide clinical education, supervision, and training to occupational therapists, multidisciplinary clinicians and students
- Contribute to research, quality improvement and service development initiatives
- Offer high-level clinical advice to senior leaders, supervisors and stakeholders

What You’ll Need
Mandatory
- A degree in Occupational Therapy (or equivalent)
- Registration with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia (AHPRA)
Highly desirable
- Post-registration training in therapies such as DBT, TF-CBT, EMDR or Somatic Experiencing
