Pediatric Dentist – Full-Time Faculty
Children’s National Hospital is seeking a full-time, board-certified or board-eligible pediatric dentist to provide patient care across hospital and clinic settings and to contribute to education, research, and advocacy efforts.
Requirements
Qualifications
- DDS or DMD from an ADA-accredited dental school
- Certificate in Pediatric Dentistry from a CODA-accredited program
- Minimum 2 years’ experience treating infants, children, adolescents, and patients with special healthcare needs, including care under sedation and general anesthesia
- 2 years of hospital-based experience preferred
Licensure & Certifications
- Eligible for an unrestricted dental license in Washington, DC, DEA and CDS
- Eligible for appointment as an attending staff physician at Children’s National Hospital
- Board certified or board eligible by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry (ABPD), if board eligible, certification required within two years
- BLS and PALS required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive clinical care to pediatric patients
- Supervise and collaborate with dental and medical care teams
- Participate in on-call coverage
- Educate patients and families on treatment and prevention
- Teach and mentor students and clinical staff
- Participate in hospital-wide educational activities
