Description
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensures all QA documentation for equipment and reading monitors is complete, accurate, and readily available upon request. Addresses errors and problems in a timely manner.
Responsible and accountable for maintaining mammography compliance for MQSA and ACR accreditation. Organizes, coordinates, and facilitates inspections for each accrediting body.
Collaborates with Physicist, lead Radiologist and ROI support staff to ensure remote reading stations are compliant and errors and omissions are corrected and documented in a timely manner.
Administers mammography procedures according to department policies and procedures, as ordered by provider. Functions in more than one modality/location.
Compassionately gives patient care to provide comfort and well-being to the patient. Acknowledges physiological and psychological needs according to policies and procedures governing department.
Prioritizes and performs duties to complete daily assignments in an appropriate and timely manner.
Completes documentation thoroughly, legibly, and accurately according to FDA and ACR guidelines in a timely manner to ensure compliance.
Actively participates in charge capture/cost containment activities according to expectation for specialty area.
Ensures that designated work area is clean and stocked with supplies on an ongoing basis. Operates equipment correctly and keeps Medical Imaging Supervisor informed of any needed repairs.
Participates in orientation, education, and self-development, including student training.
Searches for better ways of doing things by recommending and/or initiating suggestions for improvement of departmental operations and/or services provided.
Works well with others and supports team efforts. Provides quality service to all customers (Internal and External). Demonstrates flexibility and responsibility in accepting work assignments. Responds positively to changing circumstances.
Practices radiation safety in accordance with ALARA principles for protection.
Performs other duties as required.
Clearly communicates and continuously supports the Mission and Values of Johnson Memorial Health.
Conducts all activities in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, standards, and Johnson Memorial Health policies and procedures including Blood and Body Substance Precautions.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING: Two years of post-high school education/training in an AMA approved School of Radiology, with current registry with American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) required. Current Indiana General license required. Mammography certification from ARRT required. Previous experience with MQSA and ACR accreditation is preferred. Current BLS or CPR for Healthcare Providers certification required.
Day Shift (hours will vary per day/schedule)
75 per pay period.
