Description
Bridgeport Hospital, part of Yale New Haven Health, offers a Burn Fellowship through its ABA-verified Connecticut Burn Center—the state’s only dedicated burn care facility. The 1-year fellowship is designed to provide comprehensive training in the management of burn injuries, encompassing acute care, surgical interventions, and rehabilitation.
Requirements
Clinical Training: Fellows engage in hands-on patient care, managing burn injuries from initial assessment through treatment and recovery. This includes exposure to both inpatient and outpatient settings, ensuring a well-rounded clinical experience.
Surgical Experience: The program emphasizes surgical management of burns, offering opportunities to perform procedures under the guidance of experienced burn surgeons.
