TGH is the area’s only level I trauma center and one of just two ABA-verified adult & pediatric burn centers in Florida. With five medical helicopters*, we transport critically injured or ill patients from 23 surrounding counties to receive the advanced care they need. The hospital is home to one of the busiest solid organ transplant centers in the country. TGH is a nationally designated comprehensive stroke center, and has a 32-bed Neuroscience Intensive Care Unit.  Other outstanding centers include cardiovascular, orthopedics, high-risk and normal obstetrics, urology, ENT, endocrinology, and the Children’s Medical Center, which features a nine-bed pediatric intensive care unit and pediatric kidney transplant services. Department Profile
 
The Human Resources Division’s key focus is People Development, through a range of Talent Management services. The team is comprised of core HR Services, Volunteer Services, Organizational Development, and Team Member Health & Wellness. This dedicated team of professionals provides support to all Team Members and Leaders ranging from recruitment and retention strategies, compensation analysis, reward and recognition programs, benefits administration, conflict resolution and coaching, career development and mapping, in-person and online training certification programs, and a robust new hire orientation and training program. Adult, Teen and therapy animal volunteers support TGH’s mission and the Team Member Health Clinic offers same day appointments for common illness, workplace accommodations and proper body mechanics to prevent injuries. The Team Member Health & Wellness team offers dozens of instructor-led fitness programs, nutrition coaching, and year-round incentives for practicing healthy habits. 
 

Job Summary

Under the direction of the Recruitment Manager, the HR Professional is responsible for candidate sourcing, resume screening and developing a pipeline of talent for anticipated needs. The HR Professional collaborates with the Recruitment Team to support full-cycle recruitment needs including strategies to identify top talent through cost effective measures. The HR Professional will provide input into staffing strategies, recruitment programs and more, based on identified trends. The HR Professional will review direct applicants as well as source candidates through various government and social media platforms. The HR Professional will leverage available technology solutions to ensure efficiencies in all processes within the applicant tracking system, and other platforms. The HR Professional will generate e-blasts and mailers when appropriate, and actively participate in the screening of applicants to provide input and recommendations to the Recruitment Team and the hiring managers. The HR Professional will be well versed in the organization’s total compensation package, with the ability to clearly communicate to all candidates. Responsible for performing job duties in accordance with mission, vision, and values of Tampa General Hospital.



Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Business, Communication or comparable required.
  • Professional HR Certification preferred (PHR, SHRM-CP, and CHCR).
  • Progressive recruitment experience required.
  • Experience in high volume recruitment and candidate sourcing required.
  • Experience and formal training in Human Resources practices including recruitment, compensation, benefits administration, HRIS and/or employee relations required.
  • Proficiency in applicant tracking and HRIS systems with the ability to pull and analyze reports.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft office products.
  • Proficient use of spreadsheets and research methods.
  • Ability to analyze and communicate assigned project goals and objectives.
  • Demonstrates a high level of oral and written communication skills.
