Description
- Perform ultrasound scans on patient using specialized equipment
- Prepare patients for procedures and explain the process to them
- Position patients correctly to obtain accurate images
- Adjust equipment settings to optimize image quality
- Analyze images and provide preliminary findings to physicians
- Maintain patient records and ensure confidentiality of information
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to provide comprehensive patient care
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment
Requirements
- Certification as an Ultrasonographer
- Graduate of an approved US department of Education Ultrasound/Imaging program with RDMS certification in Abdomen and OB/GYN and RVT. Must be CPR certified at the time of appointment. Registered as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer with documentation of CEU requirements
- Proficiency in performing various ultrasound scans, including abdominal, pelvic, vascular, and musculoskeletal
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology related to ultrasound imaging
- Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately interpret images
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with patients and healthcare professionals
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with electronic medical record systems and other relevant software
- Answering patient questions regarding collection techniques and offering additional resources on the collection process
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year experience preferred. Prefer experience in OB/GYN, Abdominal, small parts and Vascular ultrasound
