The Division of Adolescent & Young Adult Medicine at Doernbecher Children’s Hospital (DCH) , Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU), seeks a full-time faculty member at the assistant or associate professor level. DCH is a 151-bed modern state-of-the art facility on the OHSU campus and serves as the tertiary and quaternary referral center for Oregon and SW Washington. This is an exciting time to join the division! Our established faculty and Division Chief have an extensive background in areas including reproductive health, education, national advocacy, and clinical research. In Spring 2025, the division’s clinical practice moved into a newly remodeled clinic space that is solely dedicated to adolescent and young adult medicine on Portland’s beautiful riverfront. This new clinic supports an enhanced interdisciplinary team, consisting of dedicated social workers, nutritionists, and nursing staff, working closely with our medical faculty. About OHSU
OHSU's singular focus on improving health starts with Oregonians and has global impact. We are the only academic health center in Oregon, but we're also nationally distinct as a university dedicated solely to advancing health sciences. This allows us to concentrate resources on research to prevent and cure disease, on education that prepares physicians, dentists, nurses and other health professionals to succeed in an evolving health care environment, and on patient care that incorporates the latest knowledge and discoveries. We have 16,000 employees and secure competitive research funding of more than $400 million a year. As a public organization, we provide community outreach and services for Oregon's most vulnerable populations. OHSU’s stated mission is to improve the health and quality of life for all Oregonians through excellence, innovation and leadership in health care, education and research.
About Portland and Oregon
https://www.travelportland.com
Portland is a vibrant city nestled among green woods and waterways, as the Willamette River crosses through town. Only 90 minutes from the spectacular Oregon coast or towering Mount Hood, Portland offers the rare accessibility of snow-to-surf. The local culture celebrates individuality, and Portland embraces cyclists, hikers, brewpubs, dogs, climbers, artisan coffee shops, book readers, foodies, professional soccer and basketball fans, award-winning wineries, concertgoers and paddle boarders. It’s no wonder Portland consistently ranks as one of America’s favorite lifestyle cities.
